GABY TO HOST XTRAORDINARY FILES ON ABS-CBN ] |

Gaby dela Merced is set to host
ABS-CBN's upcoming trivia and educational show entitled
Gaby's Xtraordinary Files.
The show on Channel 2 will feature scenes from the very popular "Discovery Channel" and will also showcase interesting facts and amazing features on science, history, travel, food, culture, technology, civilization and a lot more which everybody will surely and enjoy and will learn from.
De la Merced, who is known to be outspoken, is into a man's sport but remains every inch a lady. She conveys a good balance of power, brain and beauty.
She's one of the few Filipinas to dominate the Asian Formula 3 circuit.
Gaby's Xtraordinary Files is said to be a perfect family-bonding activity since the show is definitely kid-friendly and very easy to understand. The show uses 'Tagalog' as the primary language in most of its features. In the pilot episode,
De la Merced is set take us to countries with amazing cultures such as in Austria where couples bathe in beer and in Bolivia where men court their women by throwing stones at them.
In succeeding episodes of the show, De la Merced will also discover a lot of things which includes holding a 7-foot snake while doing one of the spiels, riding a big bike, playing an electric guitar and a lot more.

ABS-CBN EDGES GMA-7 OUT IN NATIONWIDE RATINGS ] |
"Nationwide" and not the usual Mega Manila, ratings of primetime shows were furnished to Pilipino Star Ngayon yesterday from GMA 7 Network. In the latest ratings covered January 27 – February 2, it emerged that four out of the top six primetime shows were of the Kapamilya network.
1. Kung Fu Kids 37.1%
2. Lobo 36.3 %
3. Marimar 32.7%
4. TV Patrol World 31.6%
5. Palos 29.3%
6. Kamandag 27.8%
The ratings were based on AGB Nielsen's
Nationwide Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM).
In the last Mega Manila ratings dated February 4-5,
GMA-7 still ruled the top 5 in primetime offerings, with "Marimar" as the overall number one show with its 40-plus ratings.
In related news, PSN also reported that ABS-CBN big boss, Gabby Lopez, was not disappointed with the supposed dismal rating performance of its newest programs,
Kung Fu Kids,
Lobo at
Palos, according to a TV executive.
The TV executive, who refused to be named, also said that even if detractors of "Lobo" star
Angel Locsin continue to say that "Lobo" has not been rating, the upcoming three TV commercials of the controversial actress are going prove otherwise.
The TVCs are sure to surprise fans because they will partner Angel with other leading men, added the TV exec.
As for the latest ratings, the TV exec said that AGB Nielsen has stopped giving them ratings.

Nakasakay kami sa float ng Lobo with Piolo and Angel kaya kitang-kita naming kung gaano kaiinit ang pagtanggap ng mga Chinoy at ka-puwa Pilipino sa mga bida ng Lobo.
